Hannah joined the staff at St. John’s in June of 2018 for her Director of Christian Education Internship through Concordia University Chicago. In addition to her DCE studies at CUC, Hannah completed her coursework and student teaching for Lutheran Elementary Education.
Before moving to college, Hannah was born, baptized, and raised in the state of Missouri. She grew up in Waverly, a town of 837 people, so she understands the small-town life. For just her high school years, Hannah moved to and from a town south of St. Louis, called Hillsboro. Her family currently resides in Columbia, MO.
At St. John’s, Hannah will be working with all ages. She likes to call it “cradle to grave” ministry. In this, though, Hannah will have a large focus on high school youth.
Hannah loves Jesus, reading, baseball, and live music. She also can’t resist yummy chocolate treats. If you hear some of our Youth call her “HR” it comes from her maiden name, Russell. Hannah only recently married Malachi Schauer on May 29th, 2022.
